Integrative TherapiesFAMC employs the use of alternative therapies to aid in healing various conditions from surgical sites to arthritis and joint pain. Tools such as K-Laser and acupuncture are performed on a regular basis to our patients' benefit. We have also started using targeted pulsed electromagnetic field (tPEMF) devices such as the Assisi Loop and PEMF mats. These are used to stimulate and balance the cell’s functions gently with a pulsating magnetic field that penetrates deeply into the tissues and cells. In addition, we are also equipped to offer PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) joint injections. For some pets, joint injections done under anesthesia with a mixture of portions of their own blood can help to reduce inflammation and protect cartilage in injured joints.
